Prophets and Prophetic Words

"Endeavouring to keep
the unity of the Spirit
in the bond of peace."

Ephesians 4:3 KJV

The primary mission of our weekly email newsletter and website pages is to promote understanding and unity in the body of Christ. As discussed in No. 1 - The Word of the Lord, there are many viewpoints among Christians today regarding the nature of the prophetic ministry.

That is precisely why we want your comments and feedback. We would like to become a "clearinghouse" of sorts for discussion and ideas on this controversial topic. We all have points of view and, in many cases, scriptures to support them. But if we humble ourselves and respect our brothers and sisters in Christ, we might be surprised to learn something new.

Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart ..." (Matt. 11:29). He concluded His admonition with this promise: "... and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Not every comment submitted will necessarily be posted. In order to be considered, all we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines:

  • Respect the views of others.

  • Enter gently. If your gift is teaching, by all means teach. But remember, good teachers never stop being good learners. Come to receive as well as give.

  • Where possible, provide scriptural support for your perspective and/or language and cultural context helps.

  • Be brief. Be organized. Limit yourself to a few short paragraphs. It will help you communicate more effectively and help others to be more inclined to read your thoughts.

  • Feel free to pose a question or two. Make others think.

  • Do not send in prophecies or recountings of your dreams and visions. Ours is an idea discussion group, not a place to promote your own "words from the Lord." There are plenty of other formats and places to share special messages from God. In fact, below the next paragraph you will find a link which will take you to a page on our website where you can launch into some websites of that nature along with links to several prophetic ministries.

Thank you for your interest in this project. We are trusting that God will use it to bring a deeper unity to the body of Christ.
