MEETING SCHEDULE
Meetings will take place on the second Monday of odd numbered months: September, November, January, March, May, and July. All meetings will feature a speaker. We will have two Saturday workshops during the 2006-2007 year: One fiction and one nonfiction. Annual dues (payable in Sep., as always) are $30.

CCW meets from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on the second MONDAY of odd numbered months, year-round in The Gunnell House at Truro Church, 10520 Main St. in Fairfax. Monthly meetings are free to members. A donation of $5 is suggested for nonmembers.

Capital Christian Writers and Northern Virginia Christian Writers Fellowship are pleased to announce their 2008 fall seminar featuring Christian suspense novelist Wanda Dyson who will lead a two-part, hands-on fiction workshop. Also Melanie Rigney, former editor of Writers Digest, will provide an overview of the non-fiction market in two parts. Topics include articles, essays, memoirs, and more. One-on-one paid critiques available with Candice Speare, (fiction) content editor/cozy mystery writer and Lori Smith, (nonfiction) freelance writer/memoir author. Thirty minute sessions/$30.

FICTION: Wanda Dyson, Novelist http://www.wandadyson.com/ Wanda Dyson sold her first suspense novel before she wrote it. Then she sold two more on proposal only. Then went on to write a non-fiction book that was picked up by Oprah for an exclusive release. While writing that book, she was approached by a major publisher to submit an idea for another three-book suspense series, which was contracted by Random House/Waterbrook.
