Focus on the Family, in its August and September Breakaway magazine for teens, published a two-part short story titled If One Falls: A Civil War Tale by RP publishers and authors John Jenkins and Mark Weaver.
The setting is the Sudley Methodist Church. Following the battle, The church became a field hospital where Confederate and Union surgeons worked side by side. And it is here, in this fictional retelling, that two young men from opposite sides of the Mason-Dixon line learn the painful truth of President Lincoln's most famous words -- A House Divided Cannot Stand! |
