Christine Stobbe
Christine was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1974, and grew up in Calgary, Alberta. She and her computer-programming husband now reside on an acreage in central Alberta.
Christine is the stay-at-home mother of one child, and the caretaker of two green parakeets and a large dog, The Artful Dodger, who, although she is part Malamute, has never pulled a sled in her life.
Christine has been writing short stories, poetry and novels since the age of six. She was the winner of several local poetry and short fiction contests throughout her grade-school years, and finally, after years of practice, perseverance, and hard work, produced her first published novel, "Fool's Gold," in May, 2000.
Christine was home-schooled from the eighth to the twelfth grade, then started work as a beautician in 1992. She discovered that beauty salons are wonderful places to talk to all kinds of interesting people whose weird quirks and foibles can be woven into various characters for numerous stories. (All names have been changed!)
When she's not busy writing, Christine indulges in her other passion-horses! She and her husband run a small boarding/training stable and riding school, and Christine enjoys riding in show jumping competitions.
Christine's other hobbies and interests include singing, musical theater, reading, computer games, and bicycling.
Teresa Arseneau
Over the years she has written reams of pages, most of which would never see the light of day, let alone the inside of a book or magazine. But eventually she sharpened her skills enough to attract the attention of a few publishers. While she is still far from what you could call a successful author, she does have over 20 publications to her credit, including:
- Several Devotional articles in 3 books (Seasons of a Woman's Heart; Treasures of a Woman's Heart; A Growing Heart) by Starburst Publishers
- Several Biblical stories and articles in denominational magazines
- One radio play, broadcast twice in Scotland by Tru2Life Productions
- Several stage plays, performed locally
- One article in Companion Parrot Quarterly
